Make a List

Before you do anything else, make sure you make a list. This list will include any important topics that you think could be related to your topic. You should make sure to have around a dozen topics that will later help you come up with some keywords.

Look at Your Competitors

This is generally true for every field. You should look toward your competitors to see how they do things. This will allow you to determine what they’re doing right and what they’re doing wrong.

If you see that one of your competitors is getting a lot of traffic, you can look at their content more closely to see which keywords they’re ranking for and how they’re doing it.

You can also find out which keywords your competitor(s) isn’t using. This will give you an exclusive opportunity to own the market.

Have a Variety

When it comes to keywords, variety is key. You want to have as many as possible so that you’re more likely to reach a large audience; however, you can’t keep your page too cluttered. That’s because you won’t rank better in Google if the search engine recognizes you as spam. You should have keywords in some of your subheadings, your title, and spread out in the rest of your pages and articles.
